What happened in my LIFE for the month of January? Well, nothing much since I am jobless. I sleep most of the time – my sleeping habit has been drastically altered. I would sleep at around 5 am, wake up at 9:00 am to watch Kris TV and at the same time surf the net (reading PDI & Phil. Star; writing for my blog; reading other people’s blog; reading entertainment portal). Also, I did try to apply on an online work but my first attempt was futile. I did post about it titled grateful but sad and can anyone correct this?
Aside from online work, I have two job interviews for January. The first one was last January 12 in Quezon City, the name of the company is Resources, Environment and Economics Center for Studies, Inc. (REECS). They asked me to do a research proposal, answered the question what are my goals for the next 5 years. REECS is a research base organization that deals mostly about environment.
January 20 was another day for an interview this time in Makati. It is an international NGO – Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). IPA is also a research base organization that deals in finding how or ways to help alleviate the lives of the poor.
January 30 – I took an exam about english. The name of the company is American English, they train for two weeks would be call center agents. This is free ( I mean no fee at all – they are just strict of your attendance. You need to complete the two week training) for 150 person and they are the one who will recommend the applicant to call centers.
Hmmmm…obviously I did not make it at REECS. I will tell you about what happened at IPA on February. As for American Eenglish, I did not join the training. Also, since we are on the topic of job applications, I buy Philippine Daily Inquirer and Philippine Star every Sunday to look for vacancy – my preference is Non- government organization (NGO). And it really helps that I am a member of jobstreet, I receive a notice everyday of job vacancy and they also have NGO vacancy. So the more the merrier!!!!
Since I am jobless, I am conscious of my expenses and for the month of January I dutifully recorded my expenses everyday. Top most expenses are house rent followed by food then newspapers/books/magazines; toiletries; SMART bills; pamasahe and laundry. also, I have expenses for my loans and my obligation to my aunt. I will not anymore put the amount but really, one needs to have an income to be able to live decently and comfortably. How can I cut my expenses? or How can I increase my income? I wonder now – why did I resign without any job prospects…hmmmmm. *wink*
I will do this every month – summarizing, analyzing what happened in my life every month and will post it here. So bear with me for you will read this kind of post every month.
